Summary

  • Self-host Libron (v0.31) as the body serif and Cal Sans (v2.011) for headings and the header nav, under public/assets/fonts/. Both are SIL OFL 1.1; each folder includes its OFL.txt.
  • New resources/css/fonts.css with the @font-face rules and --font-serif / --font-sans tokens; versions and release links are noted at the top for future update checks.
  • Preload both fonts in master.blade.php to avoid the header nav shifting while Cal Sans loads.
  • Note text bumped to 110%; note metadata and article "Posted x ago" line reduced to 85%.
  • Rebuilt public/assets/css.

Notes

  • CalSansVF.woff2 is ~290KB and preloaded on every page; the repo's smaller calsans-cossui build (~151KB) could be evaluated later.
  • No Cal Sans italic is included, so italic headings would be synthesised.

Test plan

  • Browse notes, articles and header links; check fonts render and the nav doesn't shift
  • Check light and dark themes

Libron is the body serif and Cal Sans is used for headings and the header
nav, both under the SIL OFL with licences alongside the font files. Both
are preloaded so the header doesn't shift while Cal Sans loads. Also
nudge note text up and note/article metadata down in size.
